Overview
Jazzr is a guitar practice tool for iOS. This policy describes how the app handles data. The short version: Jazzr does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. Everything stays on your device.
Data we collect
None. Jazzr does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data.
- No account required. There is no sign-in, registration, or user profile.
- No analytics. The app does not use any third-party analytics or tracking SDKs.
- No advertising. The app contains no ads and no ad-tracking.
- Purchase verification. When you purchase Jazzr Pro, the transaction is handled entirely by Apple through StoreKit. Jazzr does not receive or store your payment information. Purchase status is verified locally using Apple's transaction APIs.
Local storage
The app stores your preferences (theme, tuning, notation choices) and practice data (streaks, session history, routine progress) in the app's local data container on your device. This data is not uploaded anywhere.
It may be included in an iCloud or iTunes device backup if you have backups enabled. That backup is controlled by you and Apple, not by Jazzr.
Microphone access
The Chord Analyzer and Chromatic Tuner request microphone access to detect pitch. The permission prompt is shown only when you open one of those tools, not on launch. No audio is recorded, stored, or transmitted. Microphone data is processed in real time and discarded immediately.
Third-party SDKs
Jazzr does not include any third-party SDKs beyond Apple's own frameworks (SwiftUI, AVFoundation, StoreKit, CoreML). There is no Firebase, Amplitude, Crashlytics, Mixpanel, Segment, or equivalent.
Children
The app does not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children. It contains no user-generated content and no communication features.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes materially, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new “last updated” date. Continued use of the app after a change constitutes acceptance.
